EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Voters in Dona Ana County will have the opportunity next 7 days to get to know the candidates in the district legal professional race for that county.
A candidate forum, with all candidates invited, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at the Las Cruces City Hall Council Chambers, 700 N. Major.
Candidates invited to participate are: Ramona J. Martinez Fernando R. Macias incumbent Gerald Milton Byers and Shaharazad Booth, all Democrats. Also invited is Michael E. Cain, the sole Republican applicant in the D.A. race.
A few non-partisan corporations are co-sponsoring in the occasion — League of Women Voters of Southern New Mexico (LWVSNM) the Doña Ana County Chapter of the National Affiliation for the Improvement of Coloured Folks (NAACP-DAC) and the Southern New Mexico Bar Association (SNMBA).
