According to a report in Tuttosport (h/t MilanNews), AC Milan are thinking about making a move for Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez who’s also wanted by a series of top Premier League clubs.
North London teams Spurs and Arsenal have already been linked with the forward and as per some rumours, Arne Slot has also discussed him with the Liverpool hierarchy as the new manager looks to reshuffle the pack.
Gimenez joined Feyenoord in 2022 and this season, he has been in top goal-scoring form for the Netherlands team. He’s featured in 30 Eredivisie games this campaign scoring 23 goals along with 6 assists with an xG of 23.01. His contract with Feyenoord runs until 2027 and the club is looking to get somewhere between €50 and €60 million from his sale in the summer.
Gimenez has decided that it’s time for him to leave Rotterdam and take the next major step forward and Feyenoord aren’t certainly not going to stand in his way.
Is a move to AC Milan likely over the EPL?
AC Milan are looking at several strikers including Santiago Gimenez but most experts believe their primary target is still Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee. We think AC Milan will only make their interest in Gimenez official when they know they won’t be able to land Zirkzee.
At Liverpool and Arsenal, he will probably be a backup striker next season so if the 23-year-old is indeed interested in moving to the Premier League then a transfer to Spurs will make the most sense.

At this moment, Spurs look like the favourites to land him but Arne Slot has seen the striker from close quarters in the Netherlands and if Darwin Nunez is on his way to Barcelona then Gimenez might just be the apt replacement.
Ange is still looking for a long-term replacement for Harry Kane and at €50-odd million, the Feyenoord man is a serious contender for that spot.
At AC Milan, Santiago Gimenez will obviously have the chance to be the main man but we doubt if he will want to wait for the Italian side before they have exhausted all their other options. Also, Milan aren’t the most financially strong club in Europe and it will be one hell of a fight for them to outbid not one but three top EPL teams.
